Rancho Camulos Adobe

Description	:	The Rancho Camulos Adobe is one of the remaining California Hacienda land grants from California's early days and was designated a National Historic Landmark. It is part of California's rich agricultural and literary history. Author Helen Hunt Jackson based her novel "Ramona" as taking place in the true locale of Rancho Camulos, where she visited for a few weeks in 1882. The Rancho Camulos is located on Hwy. 126 in Ventura County, California.
